We began by covering our deliverables and expectations for a final time. Of course, I’d familiarised myself with these dates and was working towards each deliverable, but it was really reassuring to cover them in class a final time. I made some notes of things I still need to do, including my evaluations and an AI Declaration form.
Daniel did 1 to 1 tutorials with everyone who was present in class, going around the room speaking to us individually and giving us time to work on our projects. I really appreciated having the time to focus on my project work, as I was able to do work before and after I had had my tutorial. For the most part, I focused my attention on my landing page with my free time in class as I felt that this was the area od my brand that needed the most attention.

I also showed Daniel my app, as it was pretty much finalised and I wanted some final feedback. He suggested changing my navigation bar around slightly so that it takes up less room, as it dominates the screen currently and takes up users attention. Furthermore, he pointed out that it could benefit from an indicator to show what screen users are on.
I reduced the height of the navigation bar and icon size. However, I wasn’t able to reduce it by much as once I added my additional content, it looked far too tight. I decided to use a location icon beneath the current page was opposed too simply changing the colour, as I felt it was more visually playful and matched the theme of my interface. I experimented with placing it above, below and beside the icons but it didn’t look good. Untimatley, I ended up placing it beside the name of the current page as this is what worked best in my opinion, as it didn’t take up vertical room and blended in well with the font and size. Overall, I'm glad I made this change to my interface as it looks far less overwhelming on the screen, enhancing how user friendly and clear my overall interface is.

Going into today, I couldn’t believe that it was already our final UXD103 session. I can confidently say that I have really developed my design skills and confidence throughout this module, and will absolutely be able to apply my learnings to my future modules. It was very useful to have a final session covering our submissions guidance, as I found it somewhat confusing submitting last semester. By discussing and having the opportunity to ask questions about our hand in, I’m much more confident as to what and where to hand in my deliverables and research.
