This week, we had a group critique of our project 2 Digitial Bio App.

The critique

The critique involved uploading a link to our Figma board which contained our up-to-date draft of our project 2. The reason for using Figma instead of uploading screenshots like in previous critiques was to test our usability, such as interactive buttons.

The version that I showed is linked here:

My feedback

I received a lot of feedback on the draft of bio app. The first thing that was mentioned was something that I had neglected: adding a references page. There wasn’t a direct suggestion of how or where to include this, just a reminder not to forget to add this in. Therefore, I will spend some time playing around with ways that I can include this, with my current ideas including a final page or a drop down option that can be seen on all pages.

Furthermore, some suggestions were made in relation to the appearance of my app interface. I was glad to get some suggestions about this, as I wasn’t entirely happy that the interface would be suitable for an app.

These changes being made can be seen under ‘Critique changes’ in project 2:

Week 12 Reflection

<aside>

Overall, week 12 was very beneficial, particularly in allowing me to progress with my project. Having the opportunity to show my work, despite being a little nerve-wracking, always pays off as I receive good feedback which generally enhances my project upon making the changes. I will ensure to make these changes in my project and evaluate whether I feel that it would be beneficial to bring these adjustments into my final version.
